How to new Shift boot and short shifter.

First start by removing knob top..I used a flat blade very carefully.

Then remove 25T screw in top of knob.

Carefully pry up the shifter boot and then remove the 4 20T screws around the shifter (you should see them)

Once the 4 screws are out lift up the shifter, undo the knob on the side, lift up up a little more and pry off the shifter cable on the bottom. Once that is done remove from car and disassemble the shifter. (side note the knob is a complete pain to get off, used a long punch and knocked it loose.

Then cut the shifter were it start to go straight.

slide new fancy part on and tighten down the set screws using lock tight.(still waiting to here back to be a supporting vender.)

The shifter is done and now to finish the boot, cut the zip tie from the reverse lock and shifter top and set it aside, pry out all the staples from around the bottom of the boot (PITA) slide the new boot over the black ring and then snap the chrome ring over it (I did not use staples here but you could not a need thought) slide reverse lock back in and zip tie down. Should look some thing like this.

Reassemble and enjoy. By the way the boot came from shiftstyle.com I order the cobalt one and it fit a little tight, I will be sending them my boot to I am guessing they will have one to order soon.

Yes if the MFG is selling the part on here afflilated with the company, or does multiple transactions and on the opening post he said he was waiting on supporting vendor status in the statement about installing the fancy new part. And is a mechanic at a saab shop so has resources like getting the bsr tuner...
