Custom wheels for silver ice HHR
Just bought a 2009 HHR LS last week Got the LS because I wanted a manual transmission and didn't want a SS. Not sure why its so darn hard to get manual transmission cars in the U.S.
Anyway, the car is the Silver Ice metallic exterior.
I'd love to see some photos of the wheels other owners of Silver Ice HHR's have put on their cars.
I thought of maybe getting some smoothies painted red and with babymoon hubcaps. Would like to see photos of one like that before ordering them.
Also thinking of getting some alloy spoked rims, but not sure what style yet.
One thing I don't like about the HHR wheels I've seen is that none of them have much dish to them, but I guess that is somewhat due to the front wheel drive.

Yes the wheels are positive offset since this is a FWD vehicle. If you move the center of the wheel in more it will stick the wheel out too far. Also it puts more load onthe bearings and hubs. Positive offset wheels are even popular even on RWD and AWD vehicles now.
There are some picktures of mine on here with my winter smoothie wheels on. You could photo shop th color on them to see what it may look like.
Standard shift cars are dying. They make up 6% or less of the market. Sport models are the only ones which are still strong but even the HHR SS only 25% of the 09 models were 5 speeds.
Many people do not know how to drive a manual and worst yet many do not want them because it get's in the way of talking on the cell phone or God forbid texting.
I see the time not far off manuals will be only 3% very soon. I just looked at a 599 Ferarri Sunday and it had a Semi Auto with no shifter on the floor. That is very telling of the future.

Like I said in another thread. Manuals are not stolen often since few people know how to drive them. That is not a joke!

I saw that on the news on night, guy got car jacked in a manual civic, thiefs dumped it in less than a block. Guy said he could hear them grinding gears.
