but isn't there a warranty code, that needs to be entered on the install?

Yes there is a authorization code that the tech needs to call in to get the programming for that vehicle.

I'm curious to how well the GMPP stage 1 tune responds to bolt ons (intake, exhaust, bigger IC, IC piping, etc..).
