Ait sensor readings?

Just curious if I understand my ait sensors locations. My Aeroforce gauge has Ait and Ait 2. Ait is taken at the MAF right behind the airbox and Ait 2 is taken at the MAP in the lower charge pipe after the intercooler, correct?

Thx

Well that is good. That means my new intercooler is working great. However, my inlet temps seem to rise a lot more than I thought they would. Is this common? I thought it was because I had my airbox lid spaced up, but I just sealed it back and my temps still rise about 10-15 degrees when I am under boost. This really isn't a problem, my new intercooler is keeping my ait 2 temps the same as normal or only raising a degree or so. What is going on here?

When youre boosting hard it gets hotter under the hood but if youre within a couple degrees of amibient IAT2 then youre good man

Agreed. As long as your IAT2 temps are only a degree or two above ambient you're good to go. That's the air that's going into your throttlebody/intake manifold so THAT'S what you want to have at the coolest temps.

Not sure this is acurate but , I see 1-3 degrees lower than ambient in IAT-2 .

Not sure if it's a wind chill effect with the CAI or what. (it's been cold For what seems like a year )

IAT fluctuates quite a bit.

Anyone else get these type of reading with the scan gauges ?

Mine is usually a couple degrees above ambient when I'm cruising. It can climb over 100 pretty easy after a couple pulls. I have seen over 150 on the dyno (not good).

I'd say ..maybe...the airs heating up thru resistance, since the air is pulled from the outside ..more air more friction more heat....try a larger intake hose

It's normal...boost creates heat.
