Exhaust from A to Q
#2
In order to maximize ground clearance and to do something a little different (oh, and to spend lots and lots more money than if this stuff was round ) I went with ovalized stainless in what nets out to 3" diameter (2.125" x 3.5")
This exhaust will be a 1:2 with side "zoomies" exits...

Hangars on and bolted down...
This is a temporary exit. I'm building some tips that will integrate better with the rocker. Finished exhaust is no lower than the factory. These straight pieces had to be at this hight to clear a body pinch weld that you definitely don't want to cut into... since it's what hold the bottom of the car body together. The tips will help me get the exits back where I want them.

Tip time. I didn't take very many pics of this process.
Weeks turned into months, but here are craptastic camphone pics of the final tips I recently finished up. Two ovals were 'siamesed' together to get the size I was looking for, and then the opening was bordered with a piece of .25" round 304 stock that was heated and bent around a form. Once they were joined, it was time for LOTS of grinding, sanding, and eventually polishing to make the thick lip look like one piece on the tip.
