GM Performance Parts Turbo Upgrade Kit

There are plenty of dyno charts and details on other threads that show these numbers, and the increase from stock. For now, the GM tune offers a warranty (big plus), but not as much HP as the Hahn/PPC (not surprising). The dyno results show the increase from stock, so the type of dyno is not really that relevant as it would be if you were talking only absolute numbers.

I hope the kit will be in tomorrow. Maybe tues. I will be getting a few pulls on a dynojet tomorrow after work as a base line. The way I look at the GM tune is, that it allows the ecm to not be restrictive on air flow. The more the engine breathes the better. Exhaust, i.c. piping and cai. So I think an aftermarket program would enhance the power output. Also, FYI. Found out from Henderson performance that EFILive will not be doing anything with the Bosch ECM. I will post results before and after.

Bill, while I have you, someone questioned the durability of the auto tranny with the upgrade so I went and looked up the specs for the manual (what I have) and found the following:
2008 GME Sweden F35 ( MU3 ) 102207
Type: transverse front wheel drive, five-speed manual transaxle ( optional with limited slip differential )
Engine range: 2.0L I-4 turbocharged (LNF)
Maximum engine torque: 260 lb-ft ( 353 Nm)
Maximum gearbox torque: 260 lb-ft ( 353 Nm)
Do you know if the specs for these transmissions are really accurate?
I know I will keep my factory warranty, but still would like to know for after the 100,000 miles is up.
Thanks in advance,

Ok I miss read this statement.
Looks like more mods would help out more.
You are correct on the production calibration. The Power Upgrade basically turns off the learn down feature and is tuned to protect the turbo from overspeed. Therefore, if you add something to make the engine breath better this kit will keep the horse power gains that part made. There is no specific set boost level.
Sorry, I can not give out any information on future products.
