Thumbs up Great customer service -forge motorsports

3 months ago i installed their blow off valve & since i have the gm upgrade tune & based on people's suggestions on this forum, i used the heavier yellow spring. now the check engine light comes on almost daily. i have a scan tool, so erasing the code was no big deal. code p2261 turbo bypass valve stuck closed. i called forge & they told me to use the lightest spring that will work for my application & that the yellow spring isn't needed just because it's got the gm upgrade tune. i told them that i don't have the green spring anymore & forge told me they will send me one - no charge!!!!

It's too bad more compainies are not like that. That's the kind of service that will bring you back and give recommendations.

Unhappy

well, i guess you get what you paid for. in this case, nothing, yet. so, after 1 week, i still didn't get the green spring in the mail, so i called forge & the guy that i talked to last week wasn't in & another guy said there's no record of any spring being sent to me. so the 2nd guy said he will send me the spring. meanwhile, after a hard accel, the check engine light came on AGAIN! it only comes on after a hard accel w/ the same p2261 code.

thanks for the offer. i'll give it 1 more week to see if they send me the green spring. you don't get any check engine light w/ the yellow spring? ever since i installed the forge valve w/ the yellow spring, i get a check engine light, but only after a hard accel at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle, usually from a roll.

I bought the 4 spring kit when I got mine, it throws a code with the blue spring, but the yellow works fine. I have trifecta tune, set at 25lbs.

Andy, are you sure you didn't install the valve with the opening facing upward? The opening should face down to divert the air quickly.

My question too, as I never heard of a Forge throwing a CEL due to the spring. Could be getting stuck too and require luuuuube .

Well I did say my spring threw a code two posts ago, maybe you think I'm insane ?Or I couldn't possibly have bit of knowledge. If he is only running the stg-1, it could be the culprit, just saying.
