Installed a Spec 3+

I installed a Spec 3+ clutch and Spec lightweight flywheel in my HHR SS.

I used jack stands and did it by myself following the LSJ install (minus the wife holding the brake to break free/torque the axle nut and clutch bleeding).

* We (LNF) do not need a E10 torx bit
* We (LNF) also don't need a 30mm axle nut socket, we need a 36mm.
(at least the HHR SS did)

Clutch is working great, no chatter what so ever with the light weight flywheel.

Others said they get a chatter on cold start up with the Spec lightweight flywheel, mine is just as quite as the factory clutch.

I put 10 miles on the clutch driving around town, no more then 3k rpms.

Then took it out on I-65 and put 20 more miles on it at no more then 3k rpms.

Engagement is low, like every single race clutch I have ever used including the one in the turbo Van I currently have.

But pedal pressure is almost exactly like stock.

Things I found why doing the install:

I was missing 1 Trans bolt from the factory. The very top trans bolt on the firewall side was missing.

I was missing the dust cover and bolts for the transmission.

Thats that awesome GM build quality right there that we've all come to love.

I mean seriously the dust shield isn't a huge deal but a Trans bolt, come on.

Good to hear on the clutch. Where'd you get the clutch kit from?

Bought it off a Cobalt SS/TC owner that traded his car in on a 2011 Mustang GT.

I got it for $590 shipped for the Spec 3+ clutch and Spec Flywheel new.

Clutch is breaking in nicely, got a little over 300 miles now.

How has this clutch been holding up? I am starting to look into an aftermarket performance clutch to replace my failing OEM one. Trying to gather as much information as possible before I pull the trigger.
