Just pulled the trigger...

Hyper6 is right. No more than 1.5 hrs.. and it should only cost your about $160.00 if done at a "good" dealer. Just make sure if you have the Auto to do the Brake-fix at the same time, and have the tech SOLDER the wires instead of crimping them. Another good thing to do is to print out the TSB's that ChevyMgr has been religious about posting, that relate to the Turbo Upgrade Kit. As stated over and over again--- for the SS its the best $ for $ mod available-- especially for the Automatic,
Also the TSB's on the install have been added to the latest instructions. I think they have had 3-4 revisions now.

So I recieved the kit yesterday from UPS and I called Rinke to setup the install. Well, they wanted $300 quoting 3 hours of labor. So on Monday I will be calling other dealerships to see if anyone else is cheaper. Anyone recently get this kit installed for less around Michigan? I am willing to drive a good distance to save some cash. Closest to Roseville/Warren area preferred.
Thanks,
Dave

Thanks Gas Man, I will give Mike a call on Monday and see what they can do. I also ordered up some SS emblem and center cap overlays tonight. Hopefully sometime this week, I can get to painting the bowties and rear reflectors as well.

In fact depending on how many miles you have aready driven you will need to adjust how you drive a little. No Joke the change is that much.
It is not the fastest car I have ever owned nor driven but it is amazing what this little engine will do. It has changed my thinking of small engines.
Shame they never got the 6 Speed in this as it would take more torque.

Well after calling almost a dozen dealerships the past two days. I've found a dealership to perform the install for me. It will be installed tomorrow at Buff Whelan. Mike from Rodgers was very helpful but BW was alot closer and cheaper for me. And If I have any slip ups (knock on wood), it will be easier for me to take it in. So after work tomorrow, I will be a stage one owner![Big Grin](https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
I also painted my bowties black tonight and when I went to shoot some pics of the finished product, my batteries were dead. They look great though. Well as long as it doesn't rain tomorrow, I will wash her up and have a nice photoshoot after of course I take the upgrade for a test drive.![LOL](https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

WOW! Drive home from the dealership was exciting. This thing has a lot more low end torque. Didn't really get to open her up but I know the power is there. I also notice the turbo was alot more noticable when spooling. It grabbed a couple of people's attention in the other lanes. Didn't really monitor boost but when I did check it a couple of times. I saw spikes of 19, which seems good considering the inlet air was between 91-95 the whole way home. I can't wait till I go to work tomorrow when my inlets have been around 68-73 the past couple of days. Man I thought I'd never say that. By the way, cost to install was 173 and some change. Well I'm going to grab a bit to eat, cut the grass, wash and shoot some photos of the SS tonight.
