I already put convoluted tubing on mine as I felt that it was needed last spring.
The clearance on these is very very tight and I suspected a future problem after I had to have them shim the intercooler forward.
Every time the engine torques up and back the tube puts the map right up to the AC compressor. Even if the tube slides back a little it will make for even less room.
GM should really install a insulater pad on the compressor to make a buffer to prevent them from touching. Something similar to the fuel pump cover to kill the noise would help.
Or they could so something crazy like make a Map that goes up vs back on the plug.

It is just the black corrigated tubing GM and most MFG use to hold or protect wires. It is cheap and I keep it on hand for different projects.
It is spit the the center and just slips on. You just need to put it on the wire connector they adapted to your harness. It is a little small to cover the splice but I slipped it over and just put a little tape over it to cover it.
Sorry no pictures as I could hardly see what I was doing let alone take any pictures. I did the same on the upper MAP too. It just protects and looks better.
Note you can buy this tubing at Napa. Summit Racing or most any automotive auto parts store in short lenghts. You will only need a foot or two and will have a little extra. I used it on my wiring when I put the new duel horns on. The tubing cover is usally less than $10.

Thank you ChevyMgr for posting that PIP. Shortly after my poor car finished its recovery from an unfortunate fuel choice miscue, it went into exactly those intermittent low power gyrations. I printed that PIP and took it to the dealer and the tech (same one who installed my kit) was able to go right to the source of the problem - wires chaffing on the a/c compressor.

My SS is currently in the shop ( again). The first time it was over a month before I got it back. They eventually replaced the entire turbo assembly and all of the piping ( several times). This time it needs a new TMAP sensor. Of course (just like the last time) they can't locate one. I have GM customer service involved (again). So far it has been two weeks. I don't have much faith that they will get it done any time soon. Or get it right. At this point I am very sorry I ever bought the little pain in the ass. Worst GM product I have ever owned. And I have owned over 30. I told them to check the wires and they said they already did. I also told them they could buy a stage 1 kit and take the sensor out of it. Not much response on that.
