employee discount would probably knock it down more. i know in some part shops there are different "levels" of discounts for businesses.

Smile

I just ordered. It added in the shipping of $12.95 even though it says free shipping. I'll see what they actually bill me for. I also noticed this GMPD-ish disclaimer once I sent the order in.

"NOTICE: These fees do not necessarily represent UPS published rates and may include handling charges levied by CrateEngineDepot.com"

Nice.

Edit: I got a reply from CED that while the invoice says $477.95 I will only be billed $465. Fair enough!

Well, thats at least four cars that we might have in the NOVA area. Should we check the cobalt / sky/solstice forums? I Don't have time- somebody check it out and let us know.

I remember that Steve Domain on this forum had it done up in silver spring several years ago but they charged him an arm and a leg. He has a blue Panel ss

Had the kit installed at Win Kelly Chevrolet in Clarksville, MD about a month ago. They charged 1.5 hours of labor. I think it was $160-170.

It shouldnt affect it at all, just allows for more boost when you want it. Of course you might want it more frequently.
Note that it does require using premium gas if you dont already.

I just got mine installed so I have no specific numbers but from the comments, people are seeing a 1-2 MPG improvement overall because you tend to get up to speed faster (I am not sure how that works but ok.) Obviously WOT is worse but it's short lived.

I don't see why the steady cruise MPG would change either way. From the black smoke we get at WOT on shifts GM runs the LNF pig rich to protect it and I am hoping they didn't add to the that. But you can only stay in WOT for so long.

I got 28 MPG city/highway combined and 30-31 at 70MPH cruising. I will be happy if I can keep those numbers.
