Well went with 3" 304ss mandrel bent pipes cat back, Borla pro xs muffler, and a 3.5" Borla polished intercooled tip. Hope it all works out Will post pics and sound clips after it's all installed should have it done in about 2-3 weeks. So far cost is at $470 for the system.

I shucked out the bucks for the best and I'm very disappointed. Hahn's Catless DP and exhaust. The bad thing is that almost the entire exhaust tip sticks out past the body panel. The stock tip looked so much better nested properly in the body cutout. This one really sticks out like a sore thumb and destroys the look of the rear of the car. If I kept it on, I'd need to install a backup camera to make sure I didn't hit anything with it in a parking lot. I didn't crank the car to see what it sounds like until we figure out what to do. So what did they do, send a muffler/tip section for a Cobalt SS?

Can it be readjusted? I'm having my full Hahn kit put on next week. I hope it doesn't stick out as far. Is yours an automatic? Maybe if you went with the manual downpipe it would pull the exhaust back in a bit.

That pic is frickin' huge! Chvymgr fix.

Thats weird mine nestles in pretty nice.

There is a way to tuck it back some, and I think this is where your problem lies. At the end of the DP, the exhaust comes with a supplied "top hat" collar, try loosening the large T-strap, and inching the whole exhaust section in a bit, this will fix your issue.

a cobalt exhaust WILL stick out about 2" farther than a hhr exhaust

i'm gonna guess that they sent you an exhaust for a cobalt, not a hhr.

Rally,

I'm guessing that if it was shipped quickly, then it's for a Cobalt. I waited, and waited. you may be on to something here.

I would NEVER choose Hahn any longer. Way over priced.

Turbo XS is the same quality for about half the price, North America made too!
