i believe he did get this exhaust rather quickly. if i recall correctly they didn't have any in stock a couple months ago and i remember you or someone else having to wait a few months to get theirs.

it's honestly an easy fix for a local exhaust shop, but i'd try to get some money back from Hahn to pay for the adjustment.

nah, the section between the muffer & tip on the stock exhaust is a couple inches longer with the Cobalt.

i believe Hahn is the only place you get Hahn stuff.

Got a call from Hahn's this morning. They are going to send a new HHR SS muffler / tip section and a UPS ticket to pick up the Cobalt SS muffler / tip section. Should have the correct part in hand on Tuesday. The two negatives are 1) I basically can't drive my car until then. 2) I've got to lay up under the car again and do the swap out.

I just received my Hahn cat-back in the mail today. The muffler system says "HHR" written on the back section. I only waited a week for it to be sent out so I hope that it's actually an HHR piece and not a Cobalt one.

There is a hanger just behind the body panel where the exhaust tip is located. That particular hanger allows for side to side movement and not a lot of forward to backward movement. I would advise taking a measurement from your stock tip face back to that hanger. Whatever the Hahn system measures differently is how much different your new tip face will sit in the body cutout. If it's a Cobalt you'll know before ever pulling your old system off, thereby not losing the use of your car until you get the correct piece.

I got the replacement muffler / tip in late yesterday and it's not much shorter at all, maybe 3/8 - 1/2".



The saga continues...

There are two ways to fix this, one as previously stated is to loosen the T-Bolt and slide the pipe in some more, or take a hammer to the hangers.

straight out of the box, it was protruding, and I didn't like it I tried step one and got this.

That shouldn't stick out like that imo. I'm not impressed with the fitment....I know it sounds good and all but geez for the price it should at least look like it belongs on the car
