^^I Agree. Its good to have comments from people who have actually tried it and have autos. I have both the trifect tune and the superchips. Yes, the trifecta is a more powerfull tune, but Vince (trifecta) has no tune for the tranny and mine shifts pretty hard with out the superchips . I now use the trifecta over the superchips. Vince says it keeps the transmission settings. Much better than trifecta alone.

Another viewpoint from an auto SS owner that's tuned: I have an HPTuners tune and they do have control over tranny shift points as well as torque reduction in any gear. My tuner has it set to reduce torque in 1st + 2nd in order to reduce wheelspin, then it hits 100% torque as soon as it shifts into 3rd. There are definitely better options for us now than when the SS 1st came out. Figured it'd be a good FYI to point out.

been around muscle cars and diesel trucks most of my life!

to those who had the superchips tuners, do you guys have cats on your cars?

There are currently no transmission changes with the trifecta tune and in my opinion it shifts pretty hard. Your better off getting the cortex installed first. You'll be happy with it for a few months than you'll want more power. I also like the 0-60 timer and code scanner. Good luck.

2008 Black ss w/crazy steve pipe, zzp pipe connectors H/S, superchips cortex, trifecta tune, k&N intake, 245/40/18 nitto neogens and dejon spring.

Also: my best 0-60 times were with the superchips. The trifecta has alot of power and is harder to launch.
So I asked Vince about the tuning the TCM in the automatic transmissions (first I ever heard of it not being available).

This is the email I recieved from him in response to the TCM Trifecta tuning today.

"That’s correct, we do not currently reprogram the TCM in the automatic HHR SS, but it’s simply because I haven’t had a lot of demand for it. If someone wanted one I could certainly do it." I underlined the important part.

So Vince will try and do HHR SS auto trans tuning if someone wanted him to, Vince has done alot of first as far as tuning for me.

I was the first BNR 2871GT upgraded turbo tuned by Vince@Trifecta, the first with the BNR 2871GT turbo with MAF relocate and the first E-blend BNR 2871GT also.

I will also be the 1st 6 pin LE5 2.4 TB swap tuned by him on the LNF.

So Vince is more then willing to work with people on stuff, if your willing to be patient for him to do it.

No need in using 2 different tunes for the same result, when one will do.

Op so you know a Trifecta tuned car will pull away from a Superchips tuned car like its standing still.

if you get a dp with an angled o2 bung then it shouldn't trip any codes. others have run a defouler...vibrant performance and some others make these.....on dps that don't have the angled bung with success....my zzp with the angled bung works great but is an inch or so shorter so the exhaust tip is kinda tucked in the bumper cut out........other than that no problems

Alot more power and torque

On average about 20-40 whp more with gobs of torque 360-380 wtq

Keep an eye on your MAP sensors with the superchips programmer.
