Trifecta Tune
#11
I'm getting very close to purchasing the Trifecta Stealth tune. One advantage of having it on/off through the cruise control, vs the Competition Mode, would be the fact that the Competition Mode disables the stability control. Since I want the stability control to be on, this appeals to me. This would also allow me to have the tune active for an extended period (without sacrificing the stability control) to determine its effects on mpg.
How do you find the response from 1500-2500 rpm? Improved much?

I installed the tune a couple of weeks ago and this thing was pretty WILD. I could be rolling at 45mph and sink the peddle and my SS will burn rubber as if I was sitting at a complete stop. It’s crazy. Then I installed all my Hahn stuff a couple of days ago: intercooler, piping, cat-less DP and exhaust and I can’t begin to explain what it feels like. The acceleration is nuts and the force wants to sink you into the back seat; now I could be doing 60 on the highway and shift into third and floor it and the tires break loose. And the thing about this is that Vince and Tom will soon be sending me the cable for some data logging so that they can dial in all of my new mods so I guess this means it's about to get better. I’ll be getting my Spec 3 clutch and flywheel installed in the morning because I can feel some slight slipping.
I own a BMW K1200 and it feels as if this car is pulling just like the bike when you open it up. All I can say is that you have to try it for yourself to see what I’m talking about.
One of the good things about this tune is being able to turn it off with the T/C button because you don't want all this power on all of the time or you'll be buying tires every 3 months or so. LOCO CRAZY FAST is what it is!!!

Sweet, I'm gonna tune over the GM tune. I was just waiting to get a few bolt ons first like pipes, ic upgrade, drop in filter, and my down pipe. You should take the SS and have it dyno'd after the next tune update.

I just wanted to share my experience with the Trifecta tune. I was running 18 lbs and 22 on very high rpm but it would drop after a few seconds (2-3) seconds. I bought the tune from Vince and installed installed it this past saturday and its on top of the stage 1. Now it utomatically goes to 25 lbs and stays there throughout the whole gear. All I got to say it is great and makes a heck of a difference. It gave me tons of torque steer and wheel sping in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. But i think I just fixed that and got me a pair of Nitto 555.

Also 26-27psi??? I mean the pressure is different down south but i know for a fact that if you were pushing that up here your turbo would not last long. Our turbos dont like being over 25psi. I think i spend too much time on the cobalt forums reading about the turbalts haha

Bart, look at that posting date in #19, it was 10-9-09. The last I spoke with Vince is the HP was close to 310-315 and can be higher with the right clutch. A lot of the lastest tunes have had their boost set to limit to 24.
