Trying to decide how to set up the tune have a couple questions for you all who have gone before me. 1.) which button, tune on with the TC off, or tune on with cruse off I'm leaning this way for the steering wheel convenience but would probably have to reach over there and turn off TC to go anywhere anyway so it would be two buttons to push.2.) When tune is off do I want it to go back to original stock tune for max mileage or to the GM stage tune?.Do I want to limit turbo or choose the 26-27 boost option? which ones did you choose and hows that working out for you. Thanks in advance for your opinions it helps to make the right choices I know it can be changed later but would be cool to not have to trying to save a few bucks to get the LSD will probably need it after the tune.

The Trifecta tune on with cruse off is the most used as is the 24 boost setting, we changed several of my customers to that. If you have the GM done to your SS it cannot be shut off with the Trifecta tune off. The GM is always on when installed by your dealer.

I just ordered my Trifecta Budget Tune for the LNF engine. 24psi--activated with the cruise control button. Will get the cable shortly and will have to borrow a laptop to get this installed in the car. Price ($265 including shipping) seems right and I'm not looking for a bunch of custom tuning for after market upgrades for my car. Besides a K&N replacement filter that's on order now, this is my first mod.

I was put off by the price and general lack of dealer experience with the Stage 1 kit on Long Island...and the Superchips Cortex tune is $100 more for essentially the same thing (?)...so here we go!

I'll post again when I've got some seat of the pants results.

SS Fan--Trifecta is in your neck of the woods, right? Any feedback? Your first mod was a stubby? What's that?

Yes they are north of me but you can deal with them the same way thru email I am just waiting for my season to start before I spend more money on the Short bus I already did the stg-1 so its not slow now as a stock balt tc found out today . mine has no limited slip so it's already hard to get what I have to the ground . I met with a member Rainman and he loves his Trifecta tune He lives up there and met with Vince and they tuned his together you can send him a message on the forum I'm sure he wouldn't mind telling you about it. A stubby Is an antenna shorter than the fishing pole the factory put on there. you should be able to see them here on our cars Mine is short Rainmans is not

I see Rainman[fitting for his local], had Mike add some more Tru-fire to his hood. You ought to put some licks on your's. The Tru-fire can be done in Blue also. "Moon"
P.S. I also do a lot of Tru-fire, and I came REALLY REALLY close to doing mine, when I first bought it. Went with the "Professional Assassin" look.

Heck, after having Vince fix me up with a Trifecta tune, I think that is the very first mod you should do. The most bang for the buck, and other engine mods[of lesser H.P.] can always come later.
Let's face it, the SS platform can only handle so much H.P. and torque, mainly due to tire size, on the street. If you can't hook it up, you lose. "Moon"
