Any one running upgraded turbo.

A "direct bolt-on" upgrade? Not much... Bald Turbo Freak Racing (see member baldturbofreak) offers a "K04+," which is a stock K04 that's been modified internally with a larger impeller, etc. You'll need to tune for it as well. After that, there are no "direct bolt-on" upgrades that I'm aware of. However, you can adapt several turbos pretty easily. There are vendors offering semi-bolt on kits using Mitsu 20G and Garrett GT30/35 (and possibly other units). My 2 cents... the Mitsubishi 20G was a superb turbo... 10 years ago, and is still a very good power/dollar choice. But, it's too easy to get a much better product for a few more dollars in the Garrett ball bearing units. the GT30 frame easily fits in the stock location, and is good for as much power as our stock fuel systems can feed it (and then some). Once we get the fuel control tables unlocked, moving to the GT35 is a 1:1 swap with the GT30 because they use the same frame. There is no similar step up from the Mitsu 20G without going into the "Frankenstein-type" hybrids that a few specialty companies are building. But then, you're long past "direct bolt-on" at that point.

To your second question, yes, there are a few of us running bigger snails-- some K04+'s, I'm running a GT3076. I'm not sure anyone else in an HHR has jumped past the K04+ however. There are a lot more big-modders on the Cobalts.

Thanks man, I read your posts on the HP forums as well :)

Just looking to see if there is one that would direct fit to the manifold, or i would buy a manifold. would the Evo 9 turbo fit, i believe it is a 18 or 20g
