There is no code that says an 02 sensor is "bad". A P0053 code shows that the 02 sensor is having readings that are not within the specified range.
P0102 points to a Mass Air Flow sensor issue.
Both of these codes need diagnostic work done to find the reason for the fault. Most likely the P0102 code is causing the P0053 code to be set.

P0043. I don't even see that one on the trouble codes listing. That may just be a false code.

Pulling the battery cable to clear the codes ? Why ? You've got the codes, now it's time to find the fix.

Since the HHR has no sensor 3, then I would assume this is a false code that walkowg was given by the code reader.

My Torque app keeps insisting that my bank 4 sensor 4 and bank 2 sensor 2 are giving bad readings.

When I Googled p0053 I found this: P0053 Chevrolet HO2S Heater Resistance Bank 1 Sensor 1 OBDII Engine Light Trouble Code | Engine-Codes.com

p0102 returned this: OBD-II Trouble Code: P0102 Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Low Input

And I did a tiny bit of research about p0043, some say that it relates to the rear O2 sensor heater, not necessarily #3, in our case that would be #2.

All 3 mention wiring harness as a possible fault.
sounds like a duck, walks like a duck ........

Up date to my check eng light . A freind just traded for a real nice scan/eng checker made by snap-on . So we hook it up to the HHR and reset the code after i made sure all we had was the one auto zone said i have. So far light is still off and been off for 3 days and 400 miles so we may be good. So i guess i need to leave the battry off longer next time.

Negative cable disconnected for a minumum of 30 minutes to perform a successful "Code Clearing Lobotomy" on an HHR.

Of course a "Lobotomy" is only a way of returning your vehicle to a code free baseline.

If a CEL pops up again, it's important to pull the codes and attend to the fault.

After codes are cleared it can take more than 2 weeks for the monitors to run.
