Ecotec Engine Build

This is a really interesting link. I don't really know where it goes, because they start with the 2.2, and build a monster motor by seeing what fails, and upgrading.

A wonderful read for gearheads. Certainly most 2.2 owners are not doing this, but it should be linked somewhere here. Mods, put it where it makes sense. This was 2002!!!!

I'll read through this. After I return from deployment, I have to rebuild my 07 2.2. Jumped chain, bent valves. Has 170k and was burning some oil.

Next question: How do you put 350-800 hp on the ground?

I had a 94 Olds Cutlass Supreme Convertible with the 3.4 DOHC. I heard that they detuned the engine over 200hp so the transaxle would survive. I chipped it and what do you know they were right!!!
