Thanks jdmcomp, Interesting technology. Sounds like it only work on very small engines as 1.2l is mentioned. But can you say "no lturbo lag".

This CPT design is just like a vortec supercharger, but have a reluctance motor driving it instead of a pulley and belt. If they can spin the charger fast enough, which 70,000 RPM should be, and with enough force, yes it would build boost, but there is no proof so far that there design makes cost effective power.
They came out in 2000 and claimed everything with no proof. They have been around for 7-8 years and have yet to bring it to production. Also last I read about it...its major downfall was it only worked in VERY short bursts, and only added small amounts of boost for short periods of time.
