for a long time flowmaster seemed to be the #1 choice for hotrodders. i have never had any , but always thought they sounded good on v8s.

Yeah! My truck has a set of flowmasters on it, and boy do they sound good!

Besides, they were free. They weren't loud enough for my grandpa...

I agree flowmaster always sounded good on a V8 I had them on my Z28 and Formula Firebird, but.......

I think R CA's setup was a muffler (40 series) + stock resonator which is going to be louder that the catback system which uses a quieter 60 series muffler + resonator. My neighbors got a 40 series muffler only on his caliber and in my opinion it is too loud and probably has a interior resonance that is louder than you would want. However I think the catback with the resonator may alleviate the interior sound a little.

Other issue w/flow masters are too prone to rust unless you constantly keep at it with a spray can, which you should if you're going to pay some good change for a system.

the cat-back uses a 50 series. i want a 40 series so i may just have the resonator removed and have a 40 series put on. i always loved the 40 series i put on my truck. what size is our exhaust system any ways. i may buy the 2.4 exhaust remove the resonator. and put a 40 series delta flow on it. or just buy the kit. it sounds nice and i think it may end up cheaper in the long run. and that vid sounds slick.
