yeah its 2 cams, people do it with the balts and the cavys but i have not heard of anyone doing it to the hhr. it will make your car idle like hell and from what ive read for little gains, check out www.ecotecforum.com, all the stuff you would ever need to know about ecotec performance is right there.

it will idle very rough, i guess it will sound and feel like your engine is trying to escape from what ive heard. if youve never done cams before i would find a pro to install them, also have a tune ready to go. you dont want to screw up the timing. its not just as simple as opening the head and droppping in new cams

2.4?

maybe you can put the 2.4 head on ?? if not , maybe the 2.2 with that cam would be better with different valves ? as well as it would definatly need a tune.

you cant put a 2.4 head on a 2.2, the 2.4 has VVT. get the tune from trifecta tuning, chevy hhr world is a vendor for them. also did some reading for you, it sounds like you dont want to go above a stage 1 cam. with that most of the petrol heads on ecotecforum.com say new valve springs, 2.4 intake, bored throttle body, or the 2.4 tb also. and they say thye stage ones dont require a tune but to get your money out of them you will want one.
