I have an 06 hhr 2.2 swapped motor from hhr 07

I have an 06 hhr 2.2 swapped motor from hhr 07

I bought a wrecked 07 hhr vin numbers matched with the letter d as my 06 is the same but anyways i hooked it all back up and it will kick over and everything works but im getting no spark checked icm and all that not getting any signle or something do i need to have my computer flashed?


any info i would greatly appeciate

The spark packs are different as is the way spark is initiated.

Didn't you notice the difference? 2006 has 1 large ignition module 2007 has 4 coils. How is possible to hook it back up?

2006 2.2L is an F.

i did notice a difference and I have the 07 wiring harness and computer and both coil types

Good luck! If you can make it work it will be a lot of work.

My attempt would be to use the 2006 harness coil pack and ECM. I doubt that will work.

would swaping the head help in anyway?

'06 and '07 'D' does indeed designate L61 2.2. Don, you were probably looking at passenger car section. I saw the 'F' also, but the HHR is in the light truck/MPV section.

But yeah, the '06 2.2 is pretty much a one year only thing, too bad you didn't come here first. Did you put in just the '07 engine, with all your '06 sensors, accessories, etc.?

i used the 06 wiring computers and all but I do have the 07 as well

The question was actually about all of the 2006 sensors. crankshaft position, cam position, knock etc.
