More power

I have a 2006 HHR LT with a 2.2 and have two amplifiers hooked into my stereo and would like to know where I could purchase a high output alternator. Thanks

Seriously. Do that. (On FB that might have be taken as a snarky answer.)

I did it and one of the hits was a link to these forums. Read it all, especially the link to another post here.

Buried in the comments is this link:

Highest rating

What’s the highest amp rating of a stock HHR alternator for 2006?

Alternators are alternators. What might make a difference is direction of rotation, mounting holes, size of pulley/shaft and electrical connections. The rectifiers are internal and the regulator is digital it supplies as much power as is needed if it has it available.

You could also research what the Cobalt crowd does. Basically the same thing, maybe more hits.

If you really want to rock you can get a bolt on adapter to run a second alternator.
