Well here's the bottom line. It's removed. It sounds exactly how I wanted it to sound. No emissions tests here and it's not loud enough to draw cops attention. As far as selling it. I do not plan on ever selling this car and if I do I have all original pieces to the exhaust that can be put back on for 50 bucks.

And that's what matters swerv. We are a collective group so we all have differing opinions. Enjoy what you Have :-). And like you said it's easily reversible and any good muffler man will leave better welds than factory. Personally if I'm investing the money and effort into modifying a car I don't plan on letting it go. And as far as modern cars any ls motor tuner will tell you to make big power you gotta lose the cats. I've got a 06 c6 with borla headers, custom catless xpipe and borla mufflers. It's an auto with larger injectors, Holley throttle body, K&N fipk, and HP tuning suite. My truck is a 94 dodge with full built internals, mopar mp1 aluminum intake manifold, ported injectors, Holley 53x2 throttle body, K&N intake, asp pulleys, Gibson headers, custom xpipe with no cats and flowmaster single chamber race mufflers. msd 6al digital ignition, electric fans with stock clutch fan delete, b&m shift kit, billet servo pistons, custom valve body, Trans brake, 3.91 rear gears . My daily drivers though I do generally leave the cat on or at least replace with a high flow metal core. He's not deleted the main cat only a secondary after both o2 sensors, I would like to know the law enforcement officer that would be smart enough to look under the car and see the primary cat and go well where's the other one. But I'm glad swerv is happy that's all that matters it's his baby no sweat off of any of our backs at all :-)

I'm not trying to be nasty Solman. I am happy. I understand what you are saying. I don't see any problems that can arise from it in this area. Now in other places.....different story.

And Prince bigd, thanks. I love this car. I could drive it all day. I find myself forcing myself to stay home so I don't use all my gas. Lol if I could I would drive it all day long?

Considering there are LS motors coming off the dealer lots with 600+HP and running cats, I guess it's all in the tuner. I know several running the first gen Vortecs and getting 500+ to the ground, and still running cats. Dumping a good high flow cat(s) will gain you so little these days.

And yes, I've seen cases where DOT did a visual on the spot inspection for emission equipment. And considering they are one of my customers, I hear all kinds of stories from them....lol

But as you say, to each their own.
