If you find any pictures of this project, it would really help btw. Thanks.

You will have to do a tune. Both of the supercharged HHRs I have pics of I had a chance to drive. Neither was really what I would consider driveable. At least not on an everyday thing. Each had troubles bogging out and dieing. each of them needed a tune badly.

trying to drive it without a tune would be catastrophic. you would end up with a very lean situation that will not end well. IF you dont know alot about it you need to research alot before even attempting this. going into it without really knowing what you are doing is not a good idea.

oh and the nomad looks to be a engine transplant out of a cobalt but the explorer looks to be a bolt on supercharger. stick with bolting up the supercharger because engine transplants will cost aloooooooooooot of $$$$ now days.

Taking into consideration all of the necessary steps to get the hhr supercharged including tuning it and all, is gonna cost a good deal of money... as much as I want to just jump into it, I am just being discouraged about the the money needing to be spent...which is something i am lacking right now
Instead, what I am thinking about is selling this setup to a person who is more willing to install this in their car. What would be a reasonable price for this? Would there be any potential buyers? should I open it up for offers?
Thanks

I put a supercharged (06) cobalt engine and 5spd transmission in my 2009 HHR (had a regular 2.0) fit perfect, but I am having problems with the wiring harnss not matching up.

15 year old thread, no one in this thread knows how to do it. At the least, you would have to get everything from the donor car. Wiring harness, ecm, tcm.

The 2 vehicles you're trying to Mashup are just so very different. My advice is to sell what you have, and buy an HHR SS.
