Trifecta Tune

Over a year ago I had my HHR 2.2L auto trans Trifecta tuned, really didnt notice a difference, need your opinions. The car was baselined run before the tune and only has a cold air intake, with a custom 2.5" exhaust. The baseline run was 127whp after a few hours and runs with the tune, they got it to 135whp all this on 87oct. Is this what I should expect out of these mods?

The tuner couldnt really tell me what HP is at the flywheel, any guesses?

Once someone shows me, or enables my account on the forum, Ill post the dyno results.

The factory rating on the 2010 2.2 is 155 hp. Drivetrain loss and all would probably be about 30 hp. or so I would think.
I guess your right in the ballpark as far as the numbers you posted.
Those bolt on mods aren't going to give you a lot. Now the Trifecta tune would just depend on what type tune was done.

Generally, on an automatic, the value is calculated at an 18% loss from crank to wheels.

So, if the advertised crank HP is 155, you baseline came in spot on at 127. Carrying that train of thought your 135 WHP would be 165 at the crank.

Based on that, I'd suggest your HP gain was derived by the tune and you essentially gained ZERO from your add-ons.

your trifecta dealer clearly doesnt know what hes doing, find someone else, or tell him to fix it, you should notice the difference from stock to tuned like night and day

I spoke with Vince at Trifecta after the tune, he said each car is different and that even though I didnt see much of a HP increase, that the car will be more "efficent".. Should I have seen more than 10hp increase from the tune using 87oct?

Your peak power won't change a lot, but how it is applied should. Did he get rid of the enrichment delay?
