"Change oil soon" after CGS install

Hi All, I have been lurking for a while trying to absorb some knowledge from all the great members.. BUT, I just installed my CGS intake and after starting the engine I received a massage of "change oil soon". I tried search and nothing came up. Any ideas? Thansk from a noobie

By chance, is your DIC Oil life indicator at 5% or below? As this just might be a coincidence...when was the last time you had an oil change and how many miles do you have?

Anyway, mine says the same thing, as the Oil indicator is at 5%. It is telling me to change oil soon also. Gotta make that appointment!

Hopefully it is something easy like that and not related to the CGS installation. As I am getting my CGS in a few days and can't wait to install it.

go to you car and turn it on and then you will see on the streering wheel a button that looks like a small paper icon push it a couple times and you will see oil % and it should be a low % mine is at 40% right now. But there are no lights on you just mite need a oil change after you do a oil change you need to rest the oil gauge

Thanks guys, evidently the tech reset the oil life indicator when I had it changed the last time. I'm only 1200 miles into the new oil change. So now, how do I reset the oil like indicator?

Have you checked to make sure the MAF sensor is attached properly and securely. I've had mine for months now and have hadit off and on and never had a problem with any warning lights.
