Disconnect Battery, what will happen?

Hi there, I will be getting an Intake soon for my 08 2.4 LT2 auto HHR and I was wondering if I disconnect the battery and reconnect if it will reset the computer. If it does what else will get reset, the radio? Will it lock the radio as well? I just want to make sure as I bought it used and I don't have the radio code for the car.

For those asking why I am resetting, it is because back in 2001 with my GP, I would do that to reset the fuel tables to get as clean adjustment when I do a mod. I don't know if it is true still with these newer cars. :)

You are correct in what will happen. No radio lock.

I was just pulling the ecm fuse, 41 or 42 I think. Then I just started taking the hot wires off of the fuse block under the red flip thingy under the hood. It is a lot easier than getting to the battery. No issues with radio or theft devices, you will be safe. It was easier to loosen the nut and pull the two posative wires than to look up the fuse number with greasy hands in the manual.
Good Luck.

You can pull the fuse under the floor near the battery...... It will reset the computer but I believe your radio stations will stay. Been a while since I did it but I think I am right about it.

I also just installed an intake kit. Nothing happened (other than the clock having to be reset, I think) when the battery was disconnected. Radio was fine, including settings.

I just recently disconnected my battery. I had the key stuck in the ignition in the started position and it WOULD NOT COME OUT! Couldnt let the car run all day, so (being unsure about messing with the battery while its running) I pulled the fuse for the fuel injectors, then disconnected the battery. Didnt seem to hurt anything, just reset the clock.
