Here is a link to the Enhanced Traction Control System that some may have on their HHR's. Sounds similar to but not exactly like the old LSD

There is a difference between and LSD and a Locker type diff. A locker will make turning corners hard because the whole axel is solid for better straight line performance. It will chirp the outside tire on turns due to the fact the inside tire doesn’t turn at the same rate. They don’t put these on production car at all, it racing only thing.
LSD on the other hand has clutch packs and lets each side slip in turns to avoid this. When in a straight line though, the clutches will lock up and act like a locker would. They put these on higher performance production cars all the time.
There is no LSD option for the HHR. Though you might be able to find one that would work on your differential, it would be a very expensive ordeal to make it happen.

I am still amazed that ABS is not a standard feature on cars today. I didn't even think about it till after I bought the car and slammed on the brakes hard one day and I was sliding down the road.

the nissan sentra se w/pp has a VLSD which has something to do with fluid. The nissan sentra spec v has a HLSD which is a true LSD. On some of the cobalt ss's they have an LSD which was an option. Here is an easy test on front wheel drive to verify if you have an LSD. Jack the front end up off the ground. If you turn one wheel in one direction and the other wheel turns in the other direction you dont have an LSD. If they both turn in the same direction then you have an LSD.
