I wish my HHR was here so I could start working on it. I ordered it nearly two months ago. It's supposed to be in next week though...*crosses fingers*

I'll be anxiously waiting for your sound clip almost as much as I am for my HHR.

Who manufactures the cat back system offered by GM? It looks like a Magnaflow.

All gas is not created equal. Although some off brand stations buy from a major supplier and sell it as their own brand there are some differences in additives, quality and age.

Chevron with techtron was the only gas BMW would recomend to prevent carbon build up on intake valves. This still hold true for other mfgs as well.

California also has oxygenated fuel (metenol/alcohol Blend) all year round. Although it is a very low amount. As such fuel mileage will be lower for California fuel as compaired to other states that may only have this fuel in the summer when smog is worse. ARCO in my experiance is the worst. When I raced Karts, a friend used ARCO and was Disqualified for a high alcohol rating in his fuel.

I find that fascinating, as I will use whatever is nearby and affordable. I thought gas quality variance was an old wive's tale.

And, re the sound bite, you can just start your video button on your camera, if you have that. It will record the sound great, and we will probably get a great shot of your foot or your key in the starter. :)
