Well I'd always wondered what they looked like inside, and now I know, just hope ChevyMgr doesn't see that pic....he really likes Turtles and the shock might be too much for him.

Muffler tour....

In that pic (thanks for posting it sleeper!), it is upside down. The top pipe is actually spot welded to the bottom. Inlet is on left; outlet on right. Sound deadening in the upper 1/2 above perforated plate. Bottom is an open chamber.
