hey does anyone one know whats the deal with the 2.4 will they make a supercharger for it. i read some where that i wont happen because the 2.4 uses mutivalve set up. need to know before i buy my hhr. because i know that i would like to build one up to about 250hp. so would it be a better choice with the 2.2??

Its still very early for preformance parts. I preasume most aftermarket part makers are testing out these soon to be released products. Keep in mind there must be a high level of Quality of issurance. I read online there will be plenty of parts of the HHR. Time will tell.

I guarantee that the people putting out the superchargers arent afraid of variable valve timing! The civics, acuras and nissans just to name a few have had it for many years now, and all have superchargers and turbos available

We'll let you all know about superchargers and the 2.4 VVT after SEMA.
GM may do the Eaton blower, but we're shooting for centrifugal - this is something we have been using to push our ECOTEC engines on the engine dyno for a long time now.
Now it's all about the calibration.

A supercharger from GM for the HHR? That would be nice it would sell just like the one for the Vibe , that unit cost over 2 grand and wont work on the new throttle by wire cars just the first year ones. As far as aftermarket systems go GM does not like to release any of their engine programming code to the aftermarket. Unless it is for a company like SLP and even then only for a short while until they can do the upgrades themselves. I feel real sorry for the ppl that work for the accessorie and high performance division, you ppl work your tails off only to have your ideas shot down or so watered over that the upgrade is not worth the money GM wants for it.
