Right. I am wondering why you didn't just get an EV6 42lb injector to work with the stock harness?

Hi folks, good ideas I'll try out a new injector harness. We are going to check out the sensors and backprobe them first to make sure everything is working alright. So far we have done a voltage drop test and the harness itself is getting power where it needs to go, and the grounds all check out.

As for the #60 injectors that we are using, I'm just using everything that came with this kit from ZZP:

Ecotec Parts 2.2/2.4L Bolt on Supercharger Kit

It didn't mention or come with any new injector harness, and said everything would work with stock 2.4lt ecotec, so that's what we went with so far. Essentially this kit is for a 2007 cobalt SS which is similar to the 2007 hhr, although I have found some differences with the help of people on this forum.

So after checking that link, do you think I would need a new harness?

From the website:
http://zzperformance.com/ecotec/siem...jectors-4.html
How can i know which injector model is the right one for my car?

The only ones that drop in without our Ecotec Injector Harness are the EV6 ones and they only directly drop in a 2.4L LE5 car.

My 2007 HHR is 2.4L, so I feel the harness is ok. I'll check it regardless. The kit comes with EV6 injectors.

If you use EV6 long style injectors you are fine. That is what you get in the ZZP kit. They work with stock harness and rail. You should not have an issue.

FINALLY found our issue (a 3-parter, I'll post more when it's all good), but once we got the engine running the belt from the ZZP kit split and tore a rib off. It may not have been on properly from the last mechanic, but hhrfreek do you know if the belt from the ZZP kit is the proper number of ribs for an HHR?

Thanks!

Yes the pulleys are the same on a Cobalt and HHR.

Hmmm, still having issues. Only code now is a P0107. Even if MAP sensor is unplugged, the car should start but it will only crank for me. Did you have to use a fuel pressure regulator or anything like that? Gonna backprobe the MAP tomorrow.

The MAP sensor is sending less than .25 volts, which means it is either defective or not getting the 5V ref.. It is supposed to send between about 1V and about 4.5V to the ECM through a variable resistor.

The sensor is pretty simple; exactly 5V into the resistor and 1V-4.5V out. Wire is broken somewhere if the Throttle still works, it uses both 5V references, so if either was bad it would not work and you would have a CEL p0651 (I think).

Nope. I used stock fuel system with larger injectors.

IIRC the injector harness and throttle body use the same connector. Make sure they are not crossed. I think you'd get a variety of codes for that though.

What map are you using? If using the 2.5bar see thread below to double check your work with the diagram in the first post.
