For those that have " praise the lowered"

I am really considering the rear leveling springs. Each time I look at the car, I either want taller rears or bring that suckah down to match the front. So..

Who has rears only and why did you choose not to go all the way around? Are you happy with the brand you chose?

I searched the how-to's and the rears look very simple to install and reasonably priced as well.

Thanks!

Don

I have rear only. I went with cheap springs from tommy springs ebay. I like them but I also never have more then two people[ me and a pass]. seat stays down I lift it for no one. I would like to get the box out of a panel at some point. look at pic at far left under premium member and I think in gallery also

Jeremy, clear out your PM's! LOL. I wanted to ask if you had to use the spring isolators, trim the bump stop etc. Have any noise?

OH! Sorry about that! I'll clear them out soon!

I do not have the spring isolators, nor did I trim the bump stops, and I have minimal noise mostly in cold weather when hitting large bumps in the road. Nothing a little more volume on the radio can't resolve though! I had it done by the GM dealer where I purchased my HHR, it was just as simple as removing the old and replacing them with the Gold-Lines...

I have the first generation Gold Lines.... I have learned to drive a bit slower and watch for 'bumps' in the road more than I used to.

Here is my install project of sorts.

I also have a set of the Goldline Rear Leveling Springs on my 2006 White 2LT and simply LOVE the ride!! Purchased mine from www.TruckShop.com.

I installed my leveling springs in the spring of 2007 and have had no problem with noise or thumping at all.

I did trim the bump stops when installing them. (see picture 2)

I also installed mine with the small spring coils near the bottom with the larger wider coils near the top (just like the stock set-up) when I saw pictures of some of the other leveling springs installed with some binding of the larger coils on the bottom.

Here are a few pictures of before / during and after install...
