trifecta tune

will a trifecta tune help any with a bone stock 2.4 engine.

I hate the throttle lag and sloppy shifting.

mpg is around 18 in town and 26 on the highway 55-70 mph

It will give it some Zip. Lots of articles here on the forum with a quick search.

Also, your MPG sounds a bit low. Changed the oil and checked plugs lately?

new plugs and cam sensors last year 4000 miles ago and DIC says oil 30%

mpg has been the same way for 45,000 miles (8 years now).

when it isn't raining I am on my bike 110,000 miles in last 8 years

I'm very happy with my tune from CJ. Much more zip and I'm getting 30 to 32 mpg with an automatic. Best $$ I've spent.

There is a throttle delay programmed in from the factory, trifecta can get rid of it. Can also tune to give you more power from higher octane gas.
