I have a mint DSOTM in the collection but the one in the pix is trashed so I use it to clean records on.
Live at Pompeii is on DVD now

Now playing - Zephyr w/Tommy Bolin from 1969 - $1 from my friend's Mom
I built this TV stand/record cabinet this past week.
It holds about 450-475 Classic Rock records (300+ lbs!)
I have 2 smaller ones in various stages of painted out in the shop.
One will replace that oak table next to the TV.
That will hold about 250 Jazz/Classical/Comedy.
Another will replace the lamp stand (not in pic) and will hold about 150 more Classical records.
They are all the same design (I designed them), cost ~ $125 in materials and look pretty good IMNSHO
Add the 50 or so Beatles, Elvis & James Brown Records that the Maggie stashes and I'm ready to settle in for hockey season.
No covered bridge hunts for a few months.

4 of mine are 60s and my 71 just didn't get that option.
I remember that 8s have excellent stereo separation from skipping most of High School in cars cranking Montrose, Sabbath, Tull, Aerosmith, etc...
Toys, Toys, Toys...in the attic, Toys...

Well I''ve got about 8 of the albums you showed in my limited collection (around 200...) Don't get to play them much anymore.
I've thought about buying an old stereo console like you've got, gutting it and putting in up-to-date equipment. Lifehacker might be a good place to check that out.....
