I took my wife to the local dealer last night to look at a Chevy Optra that had 'Imperial Blue' on the sticker as we plan on placing a factory order for a 2007 Imperial Blue Metallic HHR. Personally I thought it was ok but I wasn't too pleased as it wasn't that much different that Daytona Metallic Blue.

However we continued looking at the back of the lot and found five or six brand new 2007 HHR's waiting to be prepped for display at the front of the dealership. I am happy to announce that one of those was 'Imperial Blue Metallic' and is not even close to the same colour as the 'Imperial Blue' that is on the Optra that many of you have found on gmcanada.com.

The HHR Imperial Blue Metallic is much darker than the colour on the Optra. I didn't have a camera with me but will bring one with me tomorrow and take some pics to post. I would say it is much closer to a Navy colour and looks very rich and makes the HHR look very muscular and dare I say 'manly'.

If anyone is near Bob Baker Chevrolet in El Cajon, CA, their website says they have two 2007 Imperial Blue HHR's, but they don't have any photos of it on their website.

I went by there today...they had a couple of 2007's but none in Imperial Blue. The salesman says that GM posts the vehicles to the website, even before they recieve them. So I will check again in a few days unless someone posts a pic beforehand. additional note.... NONE of the 2007's had running boards pre-installed. and i only seen one that had a spoiler installed.
