Maybe the tone of the silver can help. Perhaps not a bright silver but more of a champagne silver like my former '98 S-10 factory color ?

& a pic of Godfathers Panel, just for possible ideas..

I'd go two tone black over red if you wanted to paint something...but that's me. Looks mighty fine the way it is :)
