Do they work well with the smoothies? Do they stand up OK to the covers pushing into them?

Creeping
Doug:
I think we are out of luck trying to get those smoothies from creeping w/o some wheel modification---if I could figure out what the hec the mod is and how it is done. I really do not think the stem material will make a sig. difference, hence---not worth the $$.
those smoothies sure look good and a hell of a lot cheaper than the wheels I have been pricing.
peace

My tire guy says he doesn't see a big problem with putting some spot welds on the inside lip where the teeth dig into the wheel. I think a few (three?) well placed spots of weld would hold it in place. The only question he couldn't really answer was what might happen to the TPMS sensors if he hits the wheel with that much juice to arc weld some spots on while the sensors are still on it.
I guess we could break them down and take the sensors off to put the spot welds on, but that's just too darn much fussin' with it as far as I'm concerned.
They stay on the wheel just fine, but they walk right around no matter what. To me, this is way too much trouble to go to just to use a stinkin' set of wheel covers.
Maybe we're over thinking this.
