The word "abrasive" is relative when it comes to these products. These polishes have such a fine "abrasive" that they're only able to remove microscopic "scratches" like swirl marks. They leave a glass-like finish, the final step before a good coat of wax.

Something else to look at is Shinning Monkey. The advantage of this product is it doesn't contain silicone. Therefore you don't get any of the dried up white chalky stuff in the cracks or baked on to any of the none smooth areas of your vehicle. And without silicone to contend with, you can wax it in bright sun light, no premature drying.
