I like the way those look! They would good on an HHR with a blacked-out theme to it.

DEPO makes quality stuff. I had their black housing headlights on my old SRT-4. Ran them for 2 yrs without an issue. I think I might pick up a set of these for the SS.

How hard would the DEPO lights be to install? Do you have to remove the front bumper?

I don't think you would, they should pop out from underneath the hood/tire well.

Not really. The trick is to line everything up when reinstalling the bumper.
