Blue Dots

Anyone got blue dots on their HHR? I am thinking about putting some on but wanted feedback from experienced users.

Thanks in advance,

Feeling stupid (not a new feeling by any means!):

what are blue dots and why are they illegal?

blue dots are added to the center of a taillight to change the color to more of a pink. Losts of motorcycles and old hotroders do it.

Any taillight not totally red would be considered illegal....

This is a blue dot:

Illegal because they change the color cast off of your taillights.

Installed myself like everyone I'm sure. Just have to take your time. If I remember right, they take a 15/16 hole to mount in. I used a 7/8 hole saw because I couldn't find the correct size, and then slowly reamed the hole the rest of the way. The over all look was worth the time.

Nice pic Hill,
I put mine in about 1 1/2 years ago. Haven't had any problems with them (knock on wood)

I'd love to put Blue Dots in the tailights, but for some reason that eludes me, they're illegal in Arizona. Had them on my cars in my "Younger Days" back in NY. But that was over 40 Years ago! They're probably illegal back there now too!

Yup, they are cool. I want to install mine, but am concerned about water leaks. What did you do to seal 'em up? I have glass dots with chrome rings, but the dots do not seat tight into the ring and the locking tabs are too loose to insure a tight fit.
