The instructions for the one I got said to use a heat gun or a hair dryer on it.

I'll probably just stick a pin in it to burst the bubble.

So you admit it then........Your full of "hot air". That's better than being full of something else!

Ended up redoing the overlay installation, and did need to use a hair dryer.

For such a simple install, it was a pain in the arse!!!! In the end I had to use black electrical tape to hold the edges in place. I'll probably get another one at some point.

Anyway, here is a pic:

One thing I thought was odd about the overlay I got wa that the sticky side was facing away from the window, not towards it.

That is odd. Wonder if yours was suppose to be stuck to the brakelight itself? Ours said to attach to the rear window. Also, since you used a hair dryer to heat it up wouldn't it have melted to the window some? I would think that would be a pain to try and take back off.

That must be the case...the one I had for my '02 Cavalier stuck right to the brakelight...

Black Rose - my install on mine went the same way - a few bubbles, a little bleed at the edge, and a little trimming. At the time it seemed tense, but voila - once you shut the light casing and hit the brake - it's all worth it, right? Very nice!!!

Instructions said to attach it to the window. Hair dryer was supposedly to help get the bubbles out.

I bought it off of eBay, but the instructions came from decalbooth.
