Caliper paint job
OKAY, I'm wanting to paint my calipers and drums this weekend. I can't make up my mind what color. My HHR is Daytona Blue Metallic and Ive seen one with red calipers and it looks good, but I have not seen one this color with the blue calipers.
So I'm reaching out for advice on this one. I don't mind being the different one but I do want waht will look best. I know it's personal preference but I want your opinion and any pics would be great.
LET ME KNOW!!!

Damn HNE those wheels are tight!! oh ya and the calipers look great too, any shots of them with the HHR in the pic? I'm tring to see how close the caliper paint kit will match and how the whole car will look. Thanks for the reply.

WOW almost a year later and I finally put on my EBC slotted and pimpled rotors, red stuff ceramic pads and painted my calipers.
I knida lost the mod bug with winter and all then I've been busy with my first motorcycle, but now after today and these brakes I think I feel the bug about to bite again.
I know its been posted by othersbefore but heres a couple pics of todays accomplishments.
This is the look of it.
The rotors didn't stay black for long, this is a pic of them after only a three point turnaround in the driveway.
After the 10 40mph to 0 "bedding" stops EBC recommends the friction part of the rotors are no longer black at all, but the dimples and slots still are and it looks very good.
I painted the drums black so it wouldn't stand out and look funny.
I cleaned a polished the inside of the wheels with the Mothers powerball and powermetal aluminium polish while they were off.
And here the final outcome.
Just a note incase anyone decides to paint the calipers, remove the caliper and disc, then bolt the caliper back in place with just the top caliper bolt, this lets you focus on the area that will be seen once the job is finished and it still allows you to lift the caliper up and paint the underside of it, it also keeps the caliper from swinging aroung while hanging from a coat hanger or wire so you don't pull on the brake hose while being painted.
Oh ya and the directions on the paint say to let the paint cure for 24 hours before driving, I didn't do that and they still look good, but during the brakes breaking in period the car fills with a strong smell of the paint heating up. I had a car full of kids when I found this out the hard way.
