Calipers painted for HHR

Just a thread to let you know that painting the calipers on the front of your HHR makes a great difference in appearance and took all of ten minutes to do. first I washed the calipers with soap and watre let air dry then taped off the rotors and used red caliper paint to get the SS effect on the calipers. Great look for little time and a can of caliper paint.

It really makes the wheels look much much better. For those of us with drum brakes, you can easily paint that also. Less masking to do

I did mine the same way, except I used brake cleaner spray on them first.

i'm doing mine soon. either when my dad comes to visit in a week, or near thanksgiving when i go to see him. i don't have a lot of the tools here to do it myself, and i figure he'd like doing it anyways.

i'm going with yellow calipers on my black hhr

Yellow on black looks good. I was going to go yellow for that mustard and ketchup look, but I chickened out.

yeah, i like the look of the red, but i wanted to be a little different. But i'm going to pay to be different as well. Since around here they just stock black and red caliper paint kits, so I gotta order it online. Plus since i'm already going to order it I think i pay the extra for the premium G2 kit over the duplicolor. I've read some really good reviews on the G2 kit, so figured i might give it a try, I only want to have to do it once...
