Just had this picture of people going through drawers looking for rolls of tape.
Mentioning you did it on a _oser may slow the rush, but checker boards that lasted a few months is not the same thing. Something tells me that in a couple months, most people wont want to be outside peeling ooze and replacing tape. But I could be wrong...

Ps. And if the fan sucks, not blows, I stand corrected. I know some fans blow, some suck. Never checked with my Cruck...

I would think black paint would achieve the same look and last longer? But neat trick. I too had to stare at the two pics for a while. In fact, and I don't want to inflate the boy's ego, but until I read what 06 wrote, I could not see the difference! Now, it is a plain as the nose on ones face. I like it.

All it takes is a little Sharpie or bottle of model car paint and a small brush if you are afraid of the tape.

It is a very nice look... Kudos to you.

I would use the paint method. But a tip, based on my experiments with the stock grill. Use something to "scuff" the surface, for better and longer lasting adhesion.

To date, I've used 5 different types of applications (by the way, I've done this "mod" already) and each was easily removed with alcohol, paint thinner, etc.

Just my 2 cents.

That is a pretty cool idea to hide the vertical bars.
