Does your measurement include the nails?

Diameter is somewhere's between 5.5" and 5.75"... I know due to tinting my reverse lights (needed to know how much film to use). On another note... there's some pretty sweet (old skewl) VW rings that 'might' work... and they're chrome.
I saw them (cheap) on ??? racer girl ??? website (or "Girl..." something). The site in question has been discussed/mentioned in the past on this forum. I'll see if I can find. "IF" these rings were to fit, or be remotely close to fitting, they could easily be mounted with 2-sided (exterior trim) mounting tape! Lemme see what I can dig-up.

i just measured and the tail lights are not round
they are just slightly ovaled
using a caliper it is
4 5/8 or 117 mm
4 7/8 or 124 mm
7 mm or 1/4 inch will not fit a round ring so the rings will have to be made for our cars
since i have rings on mine they are approximate but should be accurate

hey Yeshua, if you are in touch w the guys that are making the stainless stuff this shouldnt be that hard

I've been on them for a couple of weeks about it. We'll see what happens and I'll be sure to let all know.
