Mike, I don't get how you could just use that tapper handle like that! It looks sweet, but don't you have to have that reverse lock-out ring that was under the stock shifter? Or do we only have that on the SS shifter?

Not sure what you are talking about so I must not have one on my LS.

Yup, I did more investigating into it and it seems that only the SS models have this little ring under the shift handle... You have to lift up on it to shift into reverse. It is a real PITA and makes finding or fitting a new shift handle very difficult...
