Cutting of Original Grill?

Ok this will probably be an easy question for you guys. But what are they talking about when they say cutting of the original grill when im reading about grills im looking at buying.

yeah, when you buy that kind you are not buying a full replacement. For it to work you need to cut apart your grill like in graragebuilt's photo, and then add the new grill part to it.

if you have a pnuematic grinder with a small cutoff wheel its easy. maybe even a dremel tool. i suggest running a piece of tape along the line you want to cut. be careful cause once you cut the inner part out its easy for the chrome to peel cause the bare edge

most of the grilles look and fit way better than the one in that pic. it was a home made one and has now been replaced with a verticle grille.

I'm looking at a Stull grill. it says not an easy install. I'm fairly profeicent at working with tools. does it look as good as it would if spent more money for the full replacement grill. Just got my new HHr last night so now let the changes begin! JC

either way im an amateur when it comes to mods so ill probably just get one thats easy to replace.
